# Connect Orphi to your AI assistant

This page shows you how to add Orphi to ChatGPT, Claude, Muse or another app that accepts MCP connectors.

> **Note:** Orphi's connection for AI assistants opens soon. This page shows how it will work.

Every assistant connects to the same address:

```text
https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp
```

Orphi uses OAuth. You sign in with your Orphi account, and you can disconnect at any time in Settings, under Connected assistants. You need an Orphi account, and you must be 18 or older.

Connecting takes three steps:

1. Add Orphi to your assistant, with the steps for your assistant below.
2. Sign in with your Orphi account when the assistant opens the Orphi sign-in page.
3. Ask the assistant about your lessons, for example "Which of my Orphi cards are due today?"

Menu names can differ between versions of each app. If a label does not match, look for the closest one.

## ChatGPT

You can add Orphi from ChatGPT's plugin directory once OpenAI lists it there. Until then, you can add it yourself in developer mode.

### From the plugin directory

This works only after Orphi is listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory.

1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins.
2. Search for Orphi and open its listing.
3. Select Connect, then sign in with your Orphi account.

### In developer mode

1. Open Settings, select Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
2. Open Plugins and select the plus button to create an app.
3. Enter `Orphi` as the name, and enter the server URL `https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp`, including the `/mcp` path.
4. Choose OAuth as the authentication, then save.
5. Sign in with your Orphi account when ChatGPT asks.

In a chat, turn on Orphi from the developer mode tools in the message box.

For what to ask first, read [Connect Orphi to ChatGPT](/docs/connect/chatgpt).

## Claude

These steps work on claude.ai and in Claude Desktop. The Claude apps for iOS and Android use the connectors you add there.

### As a custom connector

1. Open the Connectors page, at `https://claude.ai/customize/connectors`.
2. Select Add, then Add custom connector.
3. Enter `Orphi` as the name and `https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp` as the server URL, then select Continue.
4. Keep the recommended OAuth option, Use Claude's published identity, then select Add.
5. Sign in with your Orphi account when Claude asks.

On the Free plan, you can add one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner first adds Orphi in Organization settings, under Connectors.

### From the connectors directory

This works only after Orphi is listed in Claude's connectors directory. Open Connectors, select Browse connectors, find Orphi, and connect it.

For Claude Code and what to ask first, read [Connect Orphi to Claude](/docs/connect/claude).

## Muse

You can add Orphi from Muse's connector directory once Meta lists it there. Until then, you can ask Muse to add Orphi as a custom connector.

### From the connector directory

This works only after Orphi is listed in Muse's connector directory.

1. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors.
2. Find Orphi and connect it.
3. Sign in with your Orphi account when Muse asks.

### As a custom connector

1. In a chat, ask Muse to add a custom connector for the MCP server at `https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp`.
2. Muse shows a consent screen that says Meta does not review custom connectors. Approve it to continue.
3. Sign in with your Orphi account when Muse asks.

Meta has not published step-by-step instructions for custom connectors, so the screens you see can differ.

For what to ask first, read [Connect Orphi to Muse](/docs/connect/muse).

## Other apps

### Claude Code

Run this command in your terminal:

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http orphi https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp
```

Then run `/mcp` inside Claude Code, choose `orphi`, and sign in.

### Codex

Run these two commands. The second one opens the Orphi sign-in page.

```sh
codex mcp add orphi --url https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp
codex mcp login orphi
```

### Cursor

Add Orphi to `.cursor/mcp.json` in your project, or to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for every project:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "orphi": {
      "url": "https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Cursor opens the Orphi sign-in page the first time it connects.

### VS Code

Add Orphi to `.vscode/mcp.json` in your project, or run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette:

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "orphi": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

VS Code opens the Orphi sign-in page when it starts the server. Orphi's tools appear in agent mode.

### Mistral Le Chat

1. Open Intelligence, then Connectors.
2. Select Add Connector, then open the Custom MCP Connector tab.
3. Enter `orphi` as the connector name and `https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp` as the server URL, then select Connect.
4. Sign in with your Orphi account when Le Chat asks.

In a Le Chat organization, only an administrator can add a custom connector.

### Instinct

Instinct (instinct.com) can add a remote MCP server by its address. Add `https://mcp.useorphi.com/mcp` to the MCP connections in your Instinct account, then sign in with your Orphi account. Instinct has not published its own instructions, so ask Instinct's support if you cannot find the setting.

### Any other app

Any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth can connect to the URL above.

For how these apps find Orphi's sign-in server, read [Connect Orphi to another app](/docs/connect/other-clients).
